Editorial Policy
Last updated: September 2026
StaveMD publishes plain-language writing about GLP-1 medications, compounded treatment, appetite science, and weight management. This page describes how that content is produced and what standards it is held to.
How our content is produced
Articles are researched and written by the StaveMD editorial team and checked against published, peer-reviewed sources before publication. Where an article states a clinical figure — a trial result, a percentage, a timeline — the source appears on our references page, with the specific claim each citation supports. We favor randomized trials and peer-reviewed journals over press coverage, and we say so when evidence is early, mixed, or animal-only.
Articles are not individually reviewed by a clinician and are not medical advice. Whether treatment is appropriate for you is decided only by the licensed provider who reviews your intake.
What we will and won’t claim
- We do not present compounded medications as FDA-approved, as generic versions of brand drugs, or as equivalent to them. They are different finished products.
- We do not promise outcomes. Trial averages are reported as averages; individual results vary and we say so.
- Treatment decisions belong to licensed providers. Our content never tells a reader what to take, at what dose, or whether to start or stop a medication.
- Educational content is kept separate from promotion. Where an article mentions StaveMD’s own service or our apps, it is visibly set apart from the editorial body.
Updates and corrections
Health evidence moves. When a post receives a substantive update, the change is reflected in an “Updated” date on the article. If you believe something we published is inaccurate, email support@stavemd.com with the article link — corrections are reviewed and applied against the primary literature.
